How is the GOSI deduction calculated?
- Contributory wage = basic + housing, capped at SAR 45,000 per month. Transport and other allowances are excluded.
- Previous system: Saudi employees pay 9.75% (pension 9% + SANED 0.75%).
- New system (first-time workers after 3 July 2024 with no prior contributions): the pension rate rises 0.5% each July from 2025 until it reaches 11% in July 2028.
- Non-Saudis: no deduction; the employer pays 2% for occupational hazards.
